Hello

My name is Lisa, and I’m Beginners and Level one Dog Trainer at Alpha Lykos. My journey into dog training started as a client with my dog Bailey, who worked her way up to the senior training level despite being reactive from a young age. I’ve also had two other dogs go through training at Alpha Lykos, and through working with them, I developed a deep fascination with dog behavior—especially understanding why dogs exhibit fear or aggression and how we can work with them to build confidence and control.

My curiosity led me to ask endless questions in class, wanting to understand the "why" behind every behavior. Taylor saw my enthusiasm and offered me a volunteer spot assisting in classes, which quickly grew into a passion for helping others. From there, I began teaching beginner obedience and level one classes, guiding new owners through the foundations of training and behavior.

As a Mareeba local, I have a special love for working breeds, especially blue cattle dogs, and I take pride in helping owners strengthen their bond with their dogs. My favorite part of training is watching the transformation—seeing clients go from struggling with their dogs to building clear communication, understanding, and ultimately, a happy and trusting relationship.
